as a young girl, smitten,
wanted you? your name? oh...written--
on paper, odd--
it was blue? blue stick-um
note with a name, handwritten, penned
your name, and now?
now, i waken -- crush of
youth taken from long-ago dreams
on blue stick-um
paper, a sigh of old
escaped in inked, handwritten breath--
memories meeting the now...
