Koreans Once, Now Americans (Our Korean Contingent!)

Summer, Camey, Tammi, Sun-Hee, and Jodie, too;
All adopted, but are still sisters, through & through.
All are beautiful, and all are growing up so fast;
Their happy, carefree childhood days won't last!
All came from Korea; all had Korean names,
But since coming to America, life isn't the same!
They all once were unloved, all have a family now;
And their lives have certainly changed..and HOW!!
They had difficulty at first, adjusting to a new way;
But now they're Americans, and this they will stay!
They love America, love the red, white, and blue;
And they'll defend their land through and through!
When America was attacked last fall, they cried,
And it was as though a part of them had died.
But they learned to forgive, & they learned to pray;
And they pray that no more evil comes our way!
Yes, they are Korean, but are now America's hope;
Hope for a better future, and helping others to cope!
