Chalk hopscotch
So carefully drawn
Edges of roofs
And steps leading down
To the unyard
Near the nonpavement
By the disappeared curb.

A hidden village
The first snowfall

I was born in the Australian outback...nothing but red-dirt, dust and flies. I love snow....but I'm always scared I'll sully footsteps will show and I'll mess up its absolute perfection.

Katydid, I was born in the winter, so I love snow. I remember the blizzard of '77. I was seven years old and walked in snow up above my forehead. Now that was a snow day!

Isnt that first snowfall so amazing. I love to sit and watch the flakes drift down. This bought a smile to my face. Loved it.
