Economy is in a mess.
Families face financial stress.
Businesses are collapsing.
Paychecks are lapsing.
Unemployment on the rise.
Media tends to sensationalize.
Rumors of war surround us.
Like pawns in a game of chess.
We face an evil empire expanding
As we search for understanding.
Acts of horror across the seas.
Do we listen to the victim's pleas?
A president who hungers for battle.
The people feeling led like cattle.
Screaming we will not over-react!

And then ... Pearl Harbor attacked.
