knowing that i can walk, even with crutches,
and that whatever i do often inspires and touches!
having the time to play baseball or video games,
and knowing that my life is no longer the same!
getting presents from santa claus;
i just know it is daddy..why? well, just because!
not being ashamed of who i am,
and getting to eat fried eggs and baked ham!
knowing the lord jesus christ as lord,
and knowing that he'll keep our lives in one accord.
having the love of each other,
be it my parents, or my sisters or brothers!
jodie (written by her mother):
being held by my loving mommy and daddy,
and knowing that i am a part of their family.
having a home to come to,
no matter what we may be going through!
my kitty and my dollies,
and happiness is my toys..oh, golly!!
coloring in my crayon books,
and toys coming to the stores, as i like to look!
knowing that i am accepted and loved;
and knowing that feels so good, just like a glove!!
tri (as told by his mommy):
turkey and stuffing on turkey day,
and that all day, after we eat, we all get to play!!
all of my brothers and sisters;
and riding my bike until my hands get blisters!
getting a gold medal at a gymnastics meet,
and signing autographs afterwards; that is so neat!!
having a good job where i can meet people all day,
and spending time at our church every sunday!!
mai lee and pu li kwan (in unison):
having a twin sister we can always turn to
whenever one of us is feeling all sad or blue!
being to play a country song on my fiddle,
and listening to people cheer and giggle!
knowing that god has blessed us with this brood;
they are bound to help us overcome any bad mood!
knowing that someday we'll meet god face to face,
because his son gave all of us his saving grace!!
this was what some of the family members said when they were asked what they felt what "happiness" meant to them.
