Terror In My Dreams

TERROR IN MY DREAMS

IN MY DREAMS I SEE VISIONS
OF DEMONS DANCING AROUND
A FLICKING STREET LIGHT
I CAN HEAR THE HOWLING OF
WOLVES AS THEIR VOICES ECHO
THROUGHOUT THE DARKEN ALLEYS

THE EMPTY STREETS ARE AWAKENED
BY THE TWELVE CHIMES OF MIDNIGHT
THE SKY TURNS FROM GRAY TO RED
THE UNCOVERED TREES GRASP AT
MY PRESENCE I TRY TO RUN TO THE
LIGHT FOR WHICH THERE IS NONE

VINES ESCAPING FROMK THE SEWERS
LAY DEAD BENEATH MY FEET
A NOOSE MADE FROM A STEEL CHAIN
SWINGS TO THE BEAT OF A FUNERAL DRUM

WILL I EVER SEE DAY LIGHT AGAIN?
