A Note to A Friend

Inside your bleeding heart
All happiness is forgotten
Even the brightest days
Become dark, dingy grey
And the emotions of those who care
Are sucked out relentlessly.

When someone breaks your cycle
Them become the evil in your eyes
The love that people emit
Twists to the pain that burns eternally
Every inch you doubt the truth
Erases it one inch more.

When telling me not to think so much
Take your own hypocritical advice
Be open, honest and real
All the things you tell me to be
Quit wishing for a change inside
Then wallowing in the grief of the past.
