Too Good

Dear Madelyne, what's wrong with you?
I bet she didn't know how bad she was
Since you are Too Good
I bet with every vicious strike
(We all saw you on TV)
She didn't know how bad
"Mommy is mad"
That's all she knew
Every blow told her so
Not too good
Especially when
(We all saw you on TV)
She wasn't crying on the way to the car
She had no clue what was in it for her
But you "didn't intend to hurt her?"
Practice shots for later, I guess.
Do you pull hair for fun?
Oh, Madelyne
I bet she never saw it coming
I bet you didn't think we'd see you
"Bad day"?
Must be, when you're caught stealin'
The spirit out of a child
That is not discipline
That is destruction
Go on, dye your hair, Madelyne
No one will forget your face
(We all saw you on the TV)
Every parent watching
Now looks over their shoulder
Maybe that's the best that will come from this
But for now
I hope you have better days
Than that "bad day" that Martha has to live with
I hope you have better days
In prison.

This is a work in progress. Tuned up a little bit now.

Great poem about a horrible person. Seems complete to me but I can't wait to see what you add.

I think it's a very good poem so I dunno about the tuning it ;)...Isn't it a sad world sometimes?

Thanks, Dani
