A FINNISH HOLIDAY

It’s the middle of the winter
It snows more every day
The banks are getting higher
The plows are on their way.

It’s time to light the fire
And carry in more wood
Time to shovel off the stairs
One more time should be good.

The treats are on the table
For soon family will come
And the coffee now is ready
To pour for everyone.

The adventures of our week
Around the table we will share
And when someone else shows up
We just grab another chair.

We meet here every Saturday
Between six and eight
If the stories get real deep
We sometimes run quite late.

The kids are all excited
Time to turn on the porch light
Auntie Linda will bring goodies
For tonight is SAUNA NIGHT!
