A Tank of Gas

Dropped off the car today,
shipping it back to the States,
shipping it back where it came from.
It occurred to me just now
that the next time I fill the tank
I'll be filling it up back home.
Of course, I'll be there first,
waiting for the ship to come in
with that old beat up car inside.
I'll be happy when the ship comes in--
not 'cause I'm attached to the car.
I'll be happy to have something to drive
that's paid for, and all I have to do
is fill it up with a tank of gas.

Aaaww, this is so...surreal, that feeling of "tomorrow I'll be somewhere totally different...my life is changing". I've felt that way many times in my travels, whether it be going home, or starting anew...write a seguel when you fill up!!

A telling testiment to quite a journey.
This poem speaks vivid images about which
it says not a word. Rarely impressive!
