What Mother Teresa Taught Me
by Maryanne Raphael

After spending precious time with Mother Teresa I wanted to share her warm spirit, wisdom and unconditional love with this book...

Craig

A brother never known or seen
Here I come to sit and think
To dwell upon what could have been
All that's left, a marker's ink

I won't desecrate your mark
Just drink a toast this very night
Your cross nailed firmly to the bark
Secures for you a sacred site

Bassendean, the river's wide
Slowly passing by this spot
Picturesque, a place to bide
Thankful for the life I've got

Thirty nine you'd be today
Had not life's path ended here
Craig, if you could have your way
Would you join me for a beer?

I found this site on a remote part of the river, only reached at low tide around the fenceline.
I finished the poem somebody had started. It features in my book "Derbal Yaragan"

This touched my heart, David, it says so much even below the surface.
