At least our memories keep our own moments in time intact until we kick the bucket. We cannot return to them, but they will always be there as long you remember.

I think you already answered your own question, Erin. Where are our moments in time?...Why...they still live on... but through the eyes of our children to perpetuate the visions and emotions that we had in the past to beyond yesterday. That takes nothing away from us for we still have memories and we as writers still can keep those alive by memorializing them for all time for others to share.
