Awake From Dreams

The darkness comes
and then it goes.
I hold my breath
as im disposed.
I take my fears
into the night.
You take my hand
and hold me tight.
The freezing cold
consumes all heat.
I'm tired now
and take a seat.
I look at you
you turn away.
I must think of
something to say.
I've loved you and
I always will.
Come back to me
and hold me still.
You look at me
your eyes shine bright.
Then your eyes dull
with looks of fright.
I look behind me
and there what seems
a darkened cloud.
I awake from dreams.
