"Beast"
It would be good
but ripped and torn
by thorns of hate
soul disintegrates
into shadows of night
and magic believing
becomes a river
of darkness.
It would be love
but the face before
the mirror of its mind
rejects the self
it cannot bear to see
and unhinged by fear
tumbles into
pits of hell.
It would be kind
but as softness falls
upon wings of heart
and dreams urge
finer things
despair chokes
its world
with lumps
of agony.
It would have life
full, ecstatic,
joyful life
but passions'
chords of lust
are touched
and yearning
brings the death
it can't escape.
For
it
is
BEAST
and
must
remain
what
it
is...............
