We have come a long, long way indeed! - But is it progress?
On a rise they stood, ‘tween here and there,
Eyes locked on distant green.
With wondering gaze each contemplated
The gulf that lay between.
Behind them like an hour glass,
With eternity in its hold,
Fields of ever shifting sand
Burned a bright and deadly gold.
Behold how far I’ve travelled
Said one with heartfelt pride.
I too have come a long, long way,
The other humbly replied.
But one was looking forward,
And one was glancing back.
And one would live in paradise,
And one would die upon the track.

|This is wonderful!! It is so important to let the past go not so much to move ahead but to come to the here and now where paradise can only be found.|
