Someday I'll have a beautiful home

with a yard big enough for my three kids to roam

a sunroom full of exotic plants

a livingroom big enough to hold a dance

expensive furniture to fill up the space

and jewelry and linens and lots of lace;

Someday I'll have a kitchen big enough to hire cooks

and a library filled with all my favorite books

a pretty parrot who can talk

a little dog to walk

a big swimming pool for playing

and lots of chairs for laying;

Someday I'll have a dining room big enough to serve a king

and a grand piano where I can play and sing

a victorian staircase that winds down

and a beautiful, fancy victorian gown

a room just for sitting all done in soft hues

and rooms for my babies, one pink and two blues;

Someday...will someday ever come?

more than likely not;

but at least for now

Someday's all I've got.

Mmmm, "someday"... I'll just take my kitchen and kids...well as long as they're not "pests" LOL

I like your style!Dreams of someday are wonderful just as long as you don't forget the dreams that come alive in the here and now. You write beautifully! God bless!

Vivid and alive with description! Great vision. This poem is lively and imaginative! But do you know what is greater than the vision? . . The journey to get there! Cherishing the here and now does wonders for the heart! Sweet write!

Isn't it wonderful to still have 'someday'
that is all we have for any type of guarantee. You have a marvellous dream, and I hope every bit of it comes true for you. It sounds like my dream too. And after all these years I keep on dreaming. Bill ((hugs))
