the beauty of dawn
a new day begins
the fog is lifting
i'm a wildflower meadow

beheld by those traveling through
to delight of its fragrance
and morning fresh dew

to things alive in both day and night
seeking caress by my soft petal side
or nibbling upon my tender new life

they walk softly
without need to trample nor
pick my wildflowers by stem or by root

for to do so
would fade the blossom
and slowly and surely
i would wither and die

i'm alive in the earth
that nourishes my roots
allowing its essence
to breathe into me

Each season Debby ... new flowers bloom and the old ohes die. It will be this way until we to succumb to the ravages of nature upon our system. There is no other way. Decay and death brings freshness and beauty. Only God is infinite and eternal and unchanging. Bill
