The Recipe ( answer to Katy's challenge) by Jack R Roberts Monday, November 25, 2002 Share Print Save Become a Fan Thanksgiving Day is here The smell of turkey in the air We will sit down to the meal And we’ll give thanks and show we care The food is on the table More than this crowd can consume The family’s here together Joy and laughter fills the room The recipes all made from love Before us here to eat And once we have all stuffed ourselves We’ll find room for that special treat But the special guest that’s here Is what completes this recipe We’ve asked him here to thank him For things he’s given us you see What a better world we’d live in If this recipe were used world wide And better yet used everyday And not just one day set aside.
