There is a brook in a forgotten field where we once stood
By the brook was a tree where we both showed are love.
But as the years past we lost the pledge that we had maid.
To never wonder to far from the tree by the brook.
Now I stand by the brook with a knife in my hand.
To carve a note for you to see on the tree by the brook.
That I never wonder too far from the tree by the brook.
As I come back year-by-year to the tree by the brook.
I know that you wonder too far from the tree by the brook.
I got older as I returned to the tree by the brook.
To find a note that you have left on the tree by the brook.
That you will always love me and you never wonder from the tree by the brook.
Then I noticed a shadow by the tree by the brook.
It was you waiting for me by the tree by the brook.
