Mama holidays are coming
and I wish you could be here,
the smell of the turkey is no longer here
the dressing of the table is always bare,
for mama I just wish you could be here..
the family no longer wants to gather near
and the blessing of the family
no one wants to hear,
the music of Christmas and the laughter
of the children I cannot hear,
for mama the feelings of Christmas
I just cannot bare.
Oh! how I wish you could be here,
to smell the turkey and see the tree
and the presents every one use to give
the laughter of my brothers
and the laughter of my sisters
is what I will miss ..
the pictures we use to take as we gather by the tree
the singing and dancing and how we use to eat.
for mama there is no one here but just me,
for Christmas just don't mean a thing,
without my family being here.
