My emotions a tearing tap
That drips on a drainless well.
The heat of my woe causes currents of convection,
Swayed by cold realization.
Frothy sorrow begs for consumption
While bitter truth waits to gaul the partaker.
I stand in line with all my fears to fill my glass.
Standing right behind who I wish I were,
I curse who I am.
Standing in front of who I should have been,
I loudly blame the past.
As I finally fill my glass.

Ha, a twisty little piece, Lewis!

"I stand in line with all my fears to fill my glass.
Standing right behind who I wish I were,
I curse who I am.
Standing in front of who I should have been,
I loudly blame the past.
As I finally fill my glass."

Love this passage!
