quiet night snow ....14 dec 2000

This still night itís
purple sparkle snow
itís dryness covers the rude dayís
foot print marks.

This morning I burnt my fingers
on the ice dagger chunks
clearing the view to go to town
driving in ruts,
my back ran chills,
clenching fists to kill the pain.....

This still night blanket
of soft diamonds
and purple twinkle rays in
the eyeís corner.

The still nightís snow
feels soft tucking
in the day, loose down covers
commerceís bearing plane.

Our nightís not choked
in blizzard nor icily sealed,
this purple sparkle snow
feels of peace,
fluff coat of light
looks of life.

Way cool, it reminds me of the long cold winters in Wisconsin, I miss the purple sparkle snow, but not the breath-searing cold!! Lovely write, Paul! :)
