Eleven Twenty Seven

Endurance of immeasurable pain
Living as though dead
Exploitation of innocence’s
Victimized with cruelty
Endless days of hate
Never seeing a way out

Treacherous path of betrayal
Winding tales of deception
Erosion of once faithful trust
Naivety long ago lost
Trepidation a constant state
Yearning for some release

Spirits struggling for life
Engulfed in tragedy
Visceral acts to break free
Envisioning a better life
Not ever looking back.

1127, 11/27, November 27
Four numbers dealt from
the devils deck of cards.
