Thin wafer moon
rests on clouds
that take the shape of
arms outstretched.
Dawn breaks, pours
out liquid shades
of crimson red,
fills empty sky.
Take, eat, earth:
find comfort. Drink
tears of broken sky,
and remember, too.
Sing you tall trees,
sing, rejoice. Let
all of heaven hear
praise-filled voice.
Come, come again
to nature's altar,
partake of life’s
sustaining grace.
