yesterday morning i wanted to stay in bed,
but karla, my sister, wanted to shop instead.
it wouldn't have been so bad, but i am sick,
and i didn't want to go, for i was feelin' ICK!!

but we HAD to go; had some needed things to get;
got up early, thought we were the smarter ones yet!
but at 6 in the morning, a rude scene hit our eyes:
WALL TO WALL people, much to our surprise!!

went to wal*mart, had to get some personal things;
karla wanted to be a part of that holiday scene!
but i was feeling yucky, wanted to go back to bed;
but nooo..we had to go to wal*mart instead!!

so we made our way among the mad holiday mob;
even me, who was sick and feeling like a blob!
got our stuff, went to the electronics area then;
and couldn't hardly move; felt like we were in a pen!

got claustrophobic, but wasn't about to lose it;
but inside i was so mad i wanted to SPIT!
but then i saw something that caught my eye..
a movie about a cheetah; THAT i HAD to buy!

that ended up being my first christmas gift to buy;
and i suddenly felt all cheery and happy inside!
for i started my shopping off with a BIG BANG,
and i was at once glad to be a part of the shebang!

we were gone for several hours, but then got back;
and we were both tired from the holiday attack!
but then we went out to eat; we were hungry now;
but at least our holiday shopping is done..for NOW!!

i still have to finish karla's shopping, and shop for my folks in ohio, a neighbor lady (she is homebound), and our girlfriend and her family (her, her husband, and their three kids). i'll then probably get myself something, after i am done with everyone else!! (i am gonna' get myself two cajun music cd's!!) :)
