The Dance

You can't outrun the rain,
You can't outpace the pain-
No matter how hard you try
They'll catch you by and by.

You can't outshine the sun,
You can't outglow the moon,
You can't outfox the fiddler,
He'll charge you for his tune.

And when the dance is over,
(all dances have to end),
Somewhere in time in the cosmos,
Some sweet dance will begin.

The sentiment is beautiful.. Perhaps with an extra 'hook' this is a song rather than a simple poem.. It has cadences that will fit rather well with an acoustic backing. There is room too for some interesting expansion.. I love it!

Lovely. You can't outrun the rain that is true but if you set your mind intent on the things occouring it no longer proves relevant
