Genna Lyndsey prefers books to people. So when they get to close, she uses obscure quotes to push them at bay. But it doesn't always work...

St Paul's Cathdral, Regina, Saskatchewan

There were six of us ordained to the Anglican Priesthood. I wrote this, in part, to celebrate the 23rd anniversary... j+

As craftman I labour on a bench of wood,
with tools of sharp bright steel
As poet I labour on the bench of my heart
Memory and desire, intensely real

But I am more than that and less,
A priest ordained, and called
For service at another bench
By God and people blessed

At this altarbench I labour not
Yet have I work to do where all
Our labours, loves and follies meet
One who loves us, great and small.

Here the holy hawk of heaven
Though some have called her dove;
Sits on my shoulder, and with beak
And talon, teaches me of love

What a coincidence. November 16th is my Birthday. So we have a bond. A date very significant to both of us. Bill Murray
