Maybe someday we'll be as one again
But right now I don't hold out any hope
As we each have our own lives to live
And being together isn't in the scope.
Yet it is something I do understand
Because you have kids you love dear
So let's be thankful for what we had
In addition to being so close and near
It will always be a precious time to me
Something which one does treasure
Despite the fact that things fell apart
Loving you was a blessing and pleasure.
