A CHILD IS BORN TODAY
A BABY GIRL..
BEAUTIFUL, EYES JUST LIKE HER MOTHER
INNOCENT, BORN INTO A WORLD OF CONFUSION
PROMISED TO ALWAYS BE PROTECTED,LOVED, AND CARED FOR.
LEFT ALONE AT TIMES,SO MAMI COULD
SHE'S TO YOUNG TO UNDERSTAND...
SHE ALWAYS PROMISED SHE 'LL RETURN
SSHH.. BE A GOOD GIRL, I'LL BE RIGHT BACK
MAMI ALWAYS SAID
NIGHT AFTER NIGHT ....
HER CRIES BECAME WEAKER,
HER HUNGER MORE PAINFUL..
MAMI BECAME ANGRY..
,NO ONE WOULD HELP HER.
NO ONE COULD HELP HER!
ONE WOMAN WITH A LOST DREAM
CANDY WAS MY BREAKFAST
WATER AND SUGAR WAS MY DINNER
NEIGHBORS HOMES WAS MY HOME.
AND THE FIFTH FLOOR WINDOW WAS MY TV..
A YOUNG LADY THAT'S WHAT I BECAME.. CUTTIN' SCHOOL WAS PART OF THE GAME.
ALL HOPE WAS LOST,THERE WAS NOTHING TO GAIN..
ROAMING THE STREETS AGAIN
MEETING BOYS THERE WAS NO SHAME..
MAMI'S LIFE BECOMING BETTER NOW!
CLEAN AND RESPECTED!
BUT WHAT ABOUT MY PAIN?
IS IT OVER?
WHY DOES SHE KEEP LOOKING OVER HER SHOULDER?
SHE LIED THAT'S WHAT.
BUT NO ONE EVER TOLD HER
PAPI WAS BACK.!
ONE WOMAN.ONE DECISION CHANGED HER LIFE.NOW SHE HAS TO FIGHT--.
A WOMAN THAT'S ME NOW
AMONG ALL WOMAN
SPEAKING OUT! RESPECTED AND NEVER REJECTED!
A MOTHER, A FATHER, A TEACHER, A DOCTOR, A FRIEND A PROVIDER.
THAT'S ALL MAMI WANTED TO BE. BUT SO SOON TAKEN FROM ME.NOW IT'S UP TO ME. SHE'LL ALWAYS BE " ONE WOMAN TO ME"
SOON SHE'LL SEE THE WOMAN IN ME.

|Excellent write, Elizabeth. Without caps it would be a little more polished but the content is so intense...it really makes up for a lot. You will be a highly regarded writer with such a fantastic style like this. Keep it up.

|Such deep pain and torment! But such strenght showing through! Que valor tiene
usted en su lucha para ser mujer fuerte y
bastante determinado a hacer su vida un gran viaje. Que viva la libertad de los mujeres! Siempre en control de hoy y manana. Bill Murray
