Words at times,
Are exchanged,
For the worst,
In the heat, of an argument.

Blared out, like lightning,
Through, darken clouds,
Followed by rolling thunder,
Before, the silent calm,
Of a cooler night.

As love,
Is denied, in a passionate night,
For reasons,
Unknown to the other.

Makes that night,
the longest, ever,
To a shattered heart,
That was seeking solace,
From the start.
