wind across the lake,
sun bleached driftwood and pebbles,
memories on shore--
long gone days of sun bleached fun
flown away, smoke on the wind

Don't know what a 'tanka' is, but then, I'm just a country poet. Somebody's idea of elegance, I guess. Does it communicate?

First Time at Tanka?
this great, beautiful, I have yet to try Tanka, I've written Haiku and Tetractys, looking foward to my first Tanka.
