What did you think,
Being a father was a game,
Taken out and put away,
At your conveince.

What did you think,
Touching your little girl in that way,
Was okay?
I was a child,
Not an object of your desires.

What did you think,
It was okay for me to be put on the back burner,
Like I really didn't matter?

What did you think,
I'd always believe,
Those lies you told?

What did you think,
These things would go unnoticed?

What did you think,
You had some kind of control on me?
I'm grown now dreaming my own dreams,
You can't take control of my destiny!

(c) Michelle R Kidwell

I refuse to be silent and let those who are suffering as I have to feel it is there fault because no child deserves to be treated in this way!
