Twisted rules of past regret
The rueful lust of eros spent
Love in longing lingers on
Love in time has come and gone

Quests for gold were heaven sent
The wrath of gods whose plunder met
Such battles of heroic lore
The light of day and thirst for more

In such days were taylor made
Blushing hearts and beaujolias
Are echoes of loves empty nest
The castle towers where damsels rest

Now fade away in evening smile
Preparing for another while
So to love we say ado
And pray to God to see us through

Enjoyed this very much.

It didn't flow, which was a good spark to it. But the words rolled off of my tongue and off of the page and into my brain to seep there and sleep. Very good. It didn't flow smoothly, but it had a beating rhythm the reader surely can appreciate.

Warm Love,
