I wrote this poem for my daughter sometime ago and she had it hanging on her wall forever (I think she's outgrown it now). Anyway, it expresses how I feel!

I Have a Daughter Named Meghann,
She's as intelligent as can be
She's great in English, science, and math
And even geography.

I Have a Daughter Named Meghann,
She's as pretty as can be
The boys are always watching her
And that really worries me!

I Have a Daughter Named Meghann,
She's athletic as can be
She can pitch and sprint and kick and throw
And even runs cross-country.

I Have a Daughter Named Meghann,
She's as creative as can be
She has the mind of an artist
And writes great poetry.

I Have a Daughter Named Meghann,
She has a beautiful soul
She's warm and tender and loving
And picks me up when I'm feeling low.

I Have a Daughter Named Meghann,
She's as kooky as can be
She makes up little ditties
And sings them back to me.

I Have a Daughter Named Meghann,
She's as funny as can be
She makes me laugh until I cry
And gives everyone a natural "high."

I Have a Daughter Named Meghann,
She's as special as can be
And I thank God every day
For sending her to me.

Meghann certainly is all of the above. Her looks, her smile, her attitude, and her love for her mother, has been handed down to her by the one person who loves her unconditionally. Y O U.

Your love for Meghann shines beautifully in these words. This is a poem of love and devotion as only a mother can have. Thnx for sharing this with us, Christy, I enjoyed reading this very much.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, may he keep that bright smile on Meghann's face forever, and may He be with the both of you, and your sides constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little den sister, Barbie
