*****The purpose of rain*****

Rain, the sweet life,
That crops, crave,
As, I crave, for love,
Or my heart, will break.

Rainbows, bursting colors,
Flowers, sipping dew,
Life's need,
Ground soaked, muddy waters,

Rivers rushing,
Raging rapids, down the valley,
Water falls, standing still,
frozen in time,
Hummingbirds, humming.

Drought, dust, tumble weeds,
Blowing,
Arid, hot, sand storms,
Blue skies, dry riverbeds.

Thirst, low reservoirs,
Hunger, famine, starving,
Grass burning, animals dying,
All craving, the nectar of lfe,
Rain.

Beautiful poem
William ... remember the very old "Johnny Ray" song: "Just A Walking In The Rain."
That song goes way way back. For some reason your poem triggered that memory. bill murray
