You cast beautiful pink roses
upon the shore knowing that
I’d come along and gather them

You wrote me a note in the
sand, and it asked if I would
spend this special day of love
with you because you know it’s
what I’ve always dreamed of.

Placing two blossoms behind my
ear, I waited for you to come, and
when you did, you called to me
in a sweet song and beckoned me
come

I let the water carry me to you
and you gently gathered me up
and soared through the warm
sea; parting it skillfully with
ease

We leapt from the depths to touch
the sky and you rained shimmering
droplets of water on me like
diamonds from the sun and they
fell to the ocean’s surface and
disappeared beneath.

We rode currents for miles - just
me in your world where there is no
hurry and time doesn’t exist.

On this special day of love - with a
special friend, I have experienced
the serenity of freedom, and made
memories from a dream that came
true
