this is about a boy i know... very cute boy...
'there are two kinds of people' said he
as the girls around us laughed
'one type who get sad when
they think of september eleventh
and those who order one pancake
she was this kind of person'
spoons, sugar, cigarettes, and jackets
they laughed until they cried
they laughed until it hurt inside
and i just sat there
he spoke of such things
that two of us did not understand
but one did, and laughed harder
making the other laugh harder
and he made jokes about laughter
'like a submarine, the april, come on a voyage'
said he, 'with her brother, wally'
and they laughed, couldn't finish breakfast
and i just sat there
tears in my eyes
and later he hugged me, a real hug
and i had never met a cube hugger until then
i am not in love with this boy
don't think that about me
but his pants are water proof
and he had to show us
and i pretended to laugh, rather than cry
tomorrow in the court yard with our cigarettes
we will not mention the mood i had
but i will remember that his pants are waterproof
and that there are two kinds of people
and perhaps tomorrow i will laugh
i went to webbs tonight with my cousin, my friend, and this guy, Pat... he is really smart and funny, and i love him in the way that i dont love him... but i was in a low swing of bipolarness and i got all sad and stuff... those lines were things he said that he refused to write down so i did it for him... give credit where credit is due and all that crap... and i am sorry if the 9-11 reference offends anyone, it was just a random comment, and he meant nothing bad by it, i swear...
