A POT OF GOLD
Wishing on stars or a rainbows end
How many have I wasted in my life
Asking for what God can not send
Not knowing it may bring me strife

Our wish is but a prayer to the Lord
For only He guides the falling stars
A universe a path to Heavens doors
These creations He sends from afar

A double rainbow a magnificent sight
This I will remember for many years
These things can give us such delight
A meteor shower on a night so clear

A fantasy of riding the Milky Way
Drinking from the Big Dippers cup
With Gods help we may do one day
Then with the Lord we may even sup

Profusion of colors across the sky
With the dawn to dusk day or night
This makes me always wonder why
We don`t appreciate heavens lights

Our wish, rainbows, stars or dreams
To be without them could we survive
In our eyes would we have a gleam
To full fill our heart and soul in life

I don`t wish to be rich or wealthy
Just live in comfort while I grow old
When my only wish is to be healthy
So why do I search for a pot of gold
