Lumber Slumber

I'm not asleep... but that doesn't mean I'm awake. ~Author Unknown

~LUMBER SLUMBER~

If I had lumber, glass and stone
And the skills.....I'd build a home
With rolled blue prints within my hand
I'd find a spot, with fertile land

I've laid dimensions in my mind
Of stairs and windows, I've designed
To face the sunrise every dawn
Across my rolling verdant lawn

If I'd the magic to manifest
This fantasy would be my best
I'd build beside a gentle sea
With shade from strong and growing trees

A fireplace to warm my nights
With gentle golden glowing light
A cozy corner to read in peace
Where fantasy would never cease

If I'd the lumber glass and stone
It would be real, and not on loan
So now I visit, when I can
Thru my dreams.....its all so grand

The beauty of this imagination, Anita is that you can visit it any time for that respite from the real world...for home is where the heart is. Excellent write.
