I don’t often
read back over my work
partly the pain
partly the embarrassment
did I really write that
no couldn’t be not me
I would never
but there right there is my name
I sorta remember that phrase
and geez that ones kinda cute
and that ones kinda catchy
and boy that ones pretty dark
and here’s one that’s Really Deep
was I
when all these were written
is it a memory thing
a fog belt that comes over me
a retention problem
am I multiple personalitied
it is a sad day
when your babies become strangers
and yet there is a voice
that I recognize
may not quite believe that it is mine
or remember what brought
the moment on
I do know this voice
I hear me loud and clear
I have to write this
I have to
for whatever reason
these words are mine
they come from my heart
I put them here all lined up
marching across the page
I have to
like it or not
know them or not
they are mine
my words
my thoughts
think I’ll go back
not reading my stuff

Good Grief! Sometimes I read you and it feels like I'm thinking! I love that your words are 'marching' across the page... and I especially love 'fog belt'.. you are always a treat, yes.. but your words always surround me and make me LOOK! Wonderful, Josie. katy.

- Liked this Jo.
I find my works are much like my children.
I know I created this.
I know it seemed like a good idea at the time.
I know, deep down, I love them.
But, when it comes down to it...
what the hell was I thinking.

You are in the "Zone" my dear. And it shows in the beauty of your works. Read away, and puff out your chest a little, you have done a wonderful thing.
