(To believe or not to believe) |

I'm writing this poem because of a conversation that I had with a friend who stated that, "I believe in myself and my own abilties, I don't deny God existence, neither do I support it(((**
First of all I don't judge or hold anything against a persons beliefs if they feel that their belief is legit
We all have a God given right to exercise our freedom of thought
What degree of belief a person has is purely a personal thing of sought, not for anyone else to begot
Personally I love to believe in a superior being, it just gives me a good feeling and a sound ring, a great thing for the heart to ping
When I am alone and in fear I love talking to my God dear, for his strength of resolve I surely understand clear
Let me put it this way, whether God created me out of clay, as they say or however it might have happened, my belief in a superior being just has me clapping
Lord in the lonely fearful time
Yes in the unstable time
Oh, I talk to my God whenever I want to, there's no phone to pick up when I'm feeling blue, no fee to pay for the line, it's just all expressing and crying
Lord if you are there have mercy on my poor soul, for I have had it hard and do not want to fold, I will love and talk to you even if you aren't listening, even if you don't care or whatever the the remorse, for you see I am in this world and have no choice)))**

Let's put it this way:
Those who don't believe in anything or anyone except themselves have only themselves for friends. When they're faced with any hardships, there's no one that they can talk to.
Those who believe in God (in whichever form) have God for a friend, and when faced with hardships, they know that God will look after them and walk with them.
It's not a good feeling when one walks a lonely journey in life.
