Fall away
Take me down
I'll follow you
No matter what you say
Dropping further from grace
You didn't need it anyway
Always a dignity you had
Always away from me
I watched you there
So full of life
Hard to remember those days
In the darkness here
Can't even see my reflection
At least, not anymore
I've seen the Decline
The falling out like Terra
The tears, like blood
The blood, like bad saline
I've heard the words
That you've spoken to me
That you've cried, screamed
Ripped from your throat
I've lived through the war
The hospitals, the pills
That knife you held so many times
I was never right either
I tried to hang on
It was hard, in those days
The memories are fresh
They bite like wolf fangs
I've seen your scars
You showed me, remember?
Fresh and ugly red
Cuts on your wrists
I hated it, looked away
Didn't believe you wanted to die
The aftermath, that's freshly done
Angry pain nips at my heels
A kick in the nose, it retreats
Comes back every time
The life is coming back
Your pulse is quickening
Like the beat of crow wings
But there is no work for them here
Darkness fades, light blinds
Without light, there is no shadow
Without shadow, there is no light
Nothing is lost now
But everything is gained
Clutch at life, keep it there
Because I know I'll never
Let go
