A Silly Old Fool

~ A Silly Old Fool ~
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Oh how I once so
Dearly loved you.
But silly me, For I
Believed that forever
We would truly last...

~*~

You have built me up
Felling oh so high.
Only to watch my world
Come to a devastating crash.

~*~

Remember, That life is
One big boomerang.
For what you put out
in life,
Surely finds it's way
Back to you...

~*~

One day your heart
Will feel the pain,
The very same pain that
You have put me through...

~*~

There was a time when
In you I did believe.
But you turned out to
Be a devil in disguise...

~*~

Your heart could not
Possibly feel at peace.
When it is filled with
Nothing but lies...

~*~

I find myself thinking
About you these days,
Still wondering how you
Could of been so cruel...

~*~

To treat me in such
A hurtful way.
Making me to feel like
"A Silly Old Fool."

I don't know why Trixie, but this tender song and the poem suggested in my heart another song title, "Knocking On Your Door."
Isn't it strange how the human mind works in matters of the heart? Anyway, you're not the silly old fool he is. Love Bill

Rage beat me to it. I thought your poem was titled for me. Well written, and I like the Patsy Cline music.

Well dear heart, you may feel like a silly old fool, but he is an idiot. His loss...keep chin up, foot planted firmly on the backside of his memory.

Kudos on the poem
