I my love was a flower
I’d bring you the garden

If it were a star
I’d bring you the sky

But tell me my love
What shall I do
When its only my heart
That I can give you

If my love was a tree
I’d plant the world green

If it were a rose
I’d leave millions at your door

But tell me my love
What shall I do
When its only through these words
That I can express my love to you

If my love was sand
I’d give you the beach

If it were a drop
I’d give you the sea

But tell me my love
What shall I do
When I’am just a humble poet
And you are my muse

If my love was a rock
I’d give you the earth

If my love was fire
I’d bring you the sun

If all these things could prove
The love I have for you
Believe me I would do
Each one of them for you

I could buy you gifts
To flatter
But it’s the love inside
That matters

So through these words I speak to you
Iam only a mortal cant bring you the moon

But what I can and will give
Is a promise that as long as I live
I will always love you
And wait for you to say that too

Ruby, That poem is amazing!!! So many couples experience that kind of love but dont know how to say how they feel. Thanks for doing that for me!!!

Ruby, there is nothing more a girl can give to a man than her heart. All the rest is nothing.

Love is sacred, it has to come from the depth of your soul and I think it does.

Good Luck, Hope he responds favourably.
