In spring, the life force within me surges
and leaps with the desire to return to the earth;
to immerse my being into the open spaces of nature
from which all living things come.
To be free like the creatures of the forest,
wild and unfettered by rules;
freed from the bricks and wood that form my cage,
roaming undisturbed by artificial sights and sounds.
Feeling the softness of fallen leaves and sweet, green grasses
and the cooling breeze, sighing through tossing leaves.
To see the golden sun illuminate blue waters by day,
and the cool moon turn them to silver by night.
