And so we parted ... always to have a fond memory remain ... of you, of me; to leave no detail left unturned as we go merrily prodding down our separate paths of life ... but always remembering.

Heidi, this is indeed sweetly put, as Elizabeth states. Sometimes parting cannot be avoided and 'merrily prodding down...always remembering" sounds wonderful. Yet I often think of how many delights and storms and exchanged wisdoms and affections, how many moments of 'this makes life special' one could have had with those no longer at one's side. Gina, maybe too regretful? or maybe just old
