|NOTE: Personally I believe what JFK beleived, it was up to the southern vietnamese to fight and many fled, were killed or turned vc. "It's there war, not ours..." Not to mention the surrounding regions hostile to Americans, Laos, Cambodia(Kampuchea),etc. The cold war, the war on communism, had no boundaries. Cuba, The iron curtain, West Germany, etc., all that is no more. So we may had lost the objective in Nam, but in the long run, in the whole scheme of it all, we did are jobs and contributed to the advancement of freedom. Funny, most of all those politburo commandants are criminal kingpins in russia and the pretty musch have brighton beach in brooklyn ny on lock down. Well let me shut up, I can go on and on.|

|Magnifico poema, muy sentido. Aprecio la belleza de esta imagen: "AND LUCY IS DEFINITELY IN THE SKY WITH DAIMONDS
WHERE THE PALE HORSE BECOMES THE SPECTATOR
AND SERENE JUNGLES ARE TRANSFORMED INTO DANTE'S HELL"
Who is Lucy?

|A powerful write, Jerry. We could have won, if the government would have let our men do their job.|

|I was there and you describe it well, I was so ashamed of the way our country fought in that war, half heartedly while it was my butt on the line. I wanted to win, they only wanted to count the number of kills we had. Johnson and MacNamara, will burn in Hell for it. It was a disgrace to our Armed Forces. I say keep Politics in Washington, let the Generals fight our battles.|
