Return Me To Light

She rides on a carpet of luscious forest green,
the most beautiful, the purest creature I've ever seen...
From her flanks shines white light,
and pure innocenceshe dreams - her name is Hope.
A unicorn so wondrous, she runs through the wood,
representing purity, and innocence, all that is good.
And before her unfolds a trail of miraculous things...
the healing, the joy, the love that she brings.
The spectrum of colour illuminates her soul -
a breathtaking creature, so fine to behold.
Her alicorn points to heaven on high;
and in her breath you may hear the sigh of creation.
A creature of myth, nay, I think not,
forshe is found in her innocence in His bible.
She rides with the wind, she brings light in her wake...
mountains, and hills, and vales are her place.
She can enter your dreams and shine bright upon you,
and all of your wishes, she'll make them come true .
Wrapped in the fantasy, this fairytale - a dream;
she'll show you true magic, shower you in moonbeams.
Like rubbing a lantern and a genie appears -
she's been elusive and missing all of these years.
But this does not mean that she's lost to the world,
for her splendour, God rest her, remains.
