For those who know...

She sits by the sea, arms cradling her slim sun browned limbs,

The faint tracks of tears,

 pale against her rosy face,

Lost in a world that holds only magic,

And no pain

Huge dark eyes stare longingly at the distant horizon

At a sea unicorn dancin in the foam.

Lovely things,..

rising out of the foamy surf,

glistening wet and white in the lowering evening sun..

From the black crags,

she can hear the plaintive, haunting call of the mer people,

Crooning of love and loss.

Lambent light bathes the restless seas in soft hues of red and gold.

A lone tugboat wends its way slowly home to harbour,

long days journey done....
