tempo ...yes, drumbeat-like to me/and painful/captures the pain of...the 'forgotten...' & fells as if...IT IS...
"calling
the stolen soul
from dark
dreams..."
haunting/painful pounding...
perfectly written, damn..

"calling
the stolen soul "
there seems to be a lot of regret in these lines richard...
"by forgotten
lights...." I hope you do recall the light..find it again...keep it in your heart...great poem...even if I read it wrong..always strong powerful words come from your soul..Floria |

Richard, this is good. I just did some research on voodoo and Marie Laveau of New Orleans for a book. I can hear the drums in your poem.
